The UEFA Men’s Player of the the Year is an awards given to the footballer playing in the men’s football club that is considered the best in the previous season of both club and national team competition. From 1998 to 2010, the UEFA Men’s Player of the Year Award was called UEFA Club Football of the Year. Then from 2011 to 2016, it was called UEFA Best Player in Europe.

How Were The 2023 UEFA Men’s Player Of The Year Nominees Selected.
The nominees of players were selected by the UEFA technical study group based on their performance in 2022 season at both clubs and national team leave. Then the top three nominees were voted for by jury composed of the coaches of the club which played the group stage of the 2022 UEFA Champions League.
Journalists and coaches were asked to select their top players from the full list of nominees by giving five points, three points, and one point respectively. And the coaches were not allowed to vote for the players on their own team. The final result was based on the total number of vote cast.
