I got one today but unfortunately it was Locked to a US based Carrier and requires Unlock Code – no Foreign SIM would work in it.
Here’s a simple guide to easily Unlock this device – Anyone can do it, no tech skill, USB connection of Computer required.
THIS WILL ONLY WORK FOR SAMSUNG SGH A157V LOCKED TO AT&T
Step 1. Turn off the device and Remove any SIM card currently installed.
Step 2: Turn the phone back on and dial this code *2767*3855#. The last 4 digits will be showns as —- and the Device will now reset.
Step 3: When phone reset is complete, dial #*7337# to remove any sim lock set up and reset phone – That’s all.
Step 4: Insert your functional sim card and restart the phone.
