Over the years, MultiChoice has been changing the subscription prices of their products, DStv and GOtv, blaming rising cost of business. Court Stops MultiChoice Planned Hike In DStv & GOtv Subscription Prices.
The tribunal has intervened to prevent MultiChoice from raising subscription fees for DStv and GOtv services.
The Competition and Consumer Protection Tribunal (CCPT) in Abuja issued a ruling on Monday preventing MultiChoice Nigeria from implementing its planed price hikes and increases for products and services set to start on May 1st.
This decision came after an ex-parte motion was presented by Ejiro Awaritoma, who is the legal representative of Festus Onifade, the applicant.
