Recently, windows phone are not compatible with mobile apps like Whatsapp except if it is updated to the 8.1 version which is hard to come by and in a country like Nigeria, where a phone is more enjoyable with the No. 1 app Whatsapp, this becomes an issue.

This means most Microsoft Windows phone users are likely to switch to Android phones. Since, you were using a Microsoft windows phone before, definitely some, if not all your contacts would be saved in the phone and you bought a new Android phone now you want to transfer your contacts to the Android phone how do you go about it?, that’s the question that often comes to our mind and since you don’t have an answer, you might choose to download the Truecaller app.

Steps to Transfer Contacts from Windows Phone to Android

Step 1: Login to Microsoft Email on PC and click on people

Step 2: Click manage a pop up will appear click on Export Contacts.

All contacts will be downloaded and saved to a CSV file.

Step 3: Login Gmail account on PC (same Gmail account logged in on Android phone) , Click contacts and switch to old interface or old version because New preview cannot import contact.

step 4:  Import the CSV file

Step 5: On Android phone go to Settings, click on Account then click on Google account it will show options then you Sync.

You have successfully transferred your contacts don’t forget to share if is useful to you.

If you don’t have Microsoft account on your device and you don’t have Internet, you can use Bluetooth to transfer contacts and SMS from windows phone to Android phone.
