Paying for your DStv subscription has now been made easy, and in this post I’m going to show how you can pay for your subscription using some easy steps on 4 platfoms. Before you can subscribe, make sure you have your details ready, I mean your phone number and surname which your DStv account was registered with. And also make sure you have your Smartcard number ready too.
You can now manage your DStv account easy without stress, if you setup the auto renewal, you can forget about paying for your subscription and the auto renewal feature will do it for you. The auto renewal is a feature that helps you pay for your subscription by automatically deduction it from your bank account every month and you don’t have to put an effort. But it has to be setup first.
Now here are the platforms I was telling you about.
DStv Whatsapp.
You can now save time and call charges, if you chat with them on Whatsapp. The DStv Whatsapp number is +234 908 2368533. With this you can Pay-Top-Up account
When chatting with them, you will enter all your details to verify your account details. In the main menu you will enter your number related to option Pay-Top-Up-Your Account. It should be option 3. If you select the option 3, you should be present there. Then you’ll see option 1. Pay my current due amount. 2. Top up by box office account. 3. Pay for someone else. To pay for your due amount, you select the option 1 and you’ll be sent a pay now link. Select the link and you’ll enter “amount to pay”, then next. Go on to select your payment method and Payment provider/ payment vendor.
If you have verified your payment, select continue and you’ll be sent a confirmation message. The message will show you if the payment was successful or not, or pending.
My DStv App.
You can manage your DStv account with the My DStv app on your phone. With the app it can be done anytime, anywhere. This is just one app that does everything.
Here are quick payment steps.
After you have downloaded it from your Google Playstore for Android or Apple Appstore for iPhone, Login by selecting your country, enter your phone number or surname then your smartcard number. In the app’s page, select the pay icon on the menu (found on the foot of your screen). The next screen provides the edit option, you can edit the amount to pay, after that you can select pay now. To move on select the payment method and payment provider/payment vendor. In the next page, you will have to verify your payment details and a security One Time Password will be sent to the mobile number you selected. When it has been verified and the password has been entered, then select continue and a confirmation message will be sent to you if it was successful or not, or pending.
DStv USSD Code.
You can check what you owe, view your last transactions, etc. with the DStv USSD Code. This is convenience in the palm of your hands.
Here are easy payment mthods.
To begin, dial *288#, then select if you are are an existing GOtv or DStv customer and verify with your smartcard number. you will have the option to save your profile, save the profile should you wish or select no then you’ll be directed to the main menu. There, select option 3 (Pay account) after that you will be present in option 3. You’ll see option 1. Pay now, 2. Enter amount, 3. Top up BoxOffice.
Either you select the option 1 or 2 to go to payment and follow the on-screen prompts.
DStv.com Website.
With this new DStv.com website, you can easily manage your DStv account.
Swift payment steps.
On the homepage, go to the main menu option pay and select pay now, select Login. Enter your smartcard number, phone number and surname. After that select Login and it will take you to a new dashboard. It has some options, edit the amount to pay or select Pay Now, go on to select your payment method and payment provider/ payment vendor.
When you verify the payment, select continue and a confirmation message will be sent if the payment was successful or not, or pending.
For all these payments to be successful, please make sure you have enough money in your account.
The Auto Renewal is available in the MyDStv App, DStv.com website and DStv Whatsapp.
How To Set Up Auto Renewal.
- On the payment page, choose the Recurring Payment link.
- Choose the payment/ vendor provider
- Choose the Auto Renewal button.
- Accept the terms and conditions.
- To go on, select the option “make a payment” option on the digital payment page.
Here, you’ll be directed to the Payment/ Vendor Provider page, save the transaction as a recurring payment.
- Go on to make a payment.
- See if the first payment, and is successful, if yes,
- Confirm the registration & that’s it.
