Whatsapp being a private messaging App with END to END ENCRYPTION to protect the messages of its users , lots of spam messages are sent using unidentified numbers. Follow the simple steps below to REPORT, BLOCK and UNBLOCK unknown contacts/ boyfriends/ Exes etc on your Android phone.
HOW TO BLOCK UNKNOWN CONTACTS
–Open your whatsapp , tap on the MENU which is the three dotted icon located at the top right corner of your phone screen
–Tap on SETTING,
–Next select ACCOUNT
–Then PRIVACY and select BLOCKED CONTACTS
–Tap on the contact icon to select the contacts you wish to block
With this simple steps, the selected contact have automatically been blocked.
OR
–First Open your whatsapp,
–Open a chat with the contact and tap MENU which is the three dotted lines on the top right of your contact page
–Tap MORE, select BLOCK; three options will display on the page requesting if you would want to BLOCK,CANCEL,REPORT and BLOCK.
–Select BLOCK
NOTE
–When you block a contact, the messages, calls sent by that contact won’t be delivered to you.
–Your last seen and when online won’t be visible to them.
–When you block a contact, your phone number won’t remove from their contact list neither would theirs be removed from your contact list, except you delete it.
HOW TO BLOCK AND REPORT AN UNKNOWN NUMBER
If you are being bugged or disturbed by an unknown number, look no further and follow this steps to not only block them but to also report that contact as SPAM
–First, open a chat with that contact, tap MENU
–Select MORE
–Here you will have the option of selecting REPORT AND BLOCK if the messages you receive from the unknown number is SPAM and uncomfortable to you.
HOW TO UNBLOCK YOUR CONTACT
Perhaps you may have come to terms with your EX and have finally decided to unblock and Friend-Zone him, follow the steps below to unblock his contact(s);
–On whatsapp Tap MENU, Select SETTING, Tap ACCOUNT,
–Select PRIVACY, then BLOCKED CONTACTS
–Tap the contact you wish to unblock
–Then Tap UNBLOCK CONTACT. Now you and the contact can now send and receive messages, view your last seen online and your whatsapp status.
NOTE
–After unblocking a contact, the previous messages , calls and update sent during the time that contact was blocked won’t be delivered.
–Unblocked contacts that were not saved to your phone address book will not restored.
