Hi Guys,
I’ve got a mini-laptop here with me with no CD drive, it’s pre-installed with Windows Vista Home Basic (Starter) and the owner has failed to activate a valid Windows License for the trial period (usually 30 to 60 days).
Windows might display little reminders by the side about activation, but if this is not done until trial period elapses, you may not be able to boot successfully to your desktop anymore.
Access to Internet explorer is allowed in reduced functionality mode, so we’ll show you how to exploit that and access full desktop functions.
How To Access Desktop In Reduced Functionality Mode.
- Select the second Option “Access computer with reduced functionality”, When Internet explorer page displays, type this: c:/windows/explorer.exe and hit enter. Remember to use the correct slashes.
- Save or Run the Windows explorer file displayed to gain access to desktop.
- Now that you have access to desktop, you have options to copy needed files, activate the OS using valid Serial key or run a crack if you know how.
It’s highly recommended that you activate windows else these steps has to be repeated each time PC reboots.
