“The HP Pavillion DV8000 is one of the best laptops ever made by Hewlett-Packard”
I made that authoritative statement in relation to its durability because i was privileged to carry out maintenance services on a 5 years old Pavilion DV8000 today and was really impressed by the condition of the Laptop despite its age.
The Problem.
HP does not have Windows 7 Drivers for Pavilion DV8000, yeah that’s how old the laptop is but still strong.
So my friend who upgraded the default Windows XP to Windows 7 was screwed. He had no sound because he couldn’t get Pavilion DV8000 Audio Drivers for Windows 7.
On Device Manager, it was clear that “high definition audio driver” was not correctly installed. (missing)
Even the usual Uniblue Driver scanner i use to search and automatically download updated system drivers couldn’t get the audio to work.
Solution:
Download HP Pavillion DV8000 Audio Driver for Windows 7
