The Police Service Commission (PSC) in conjunction with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), calls all interested and qualified applicants for enlistment into the Nigeria Police Force as Specialist (Artisan) & General Duty Police Constable ( Recruits). All interested applicants can now apply online, as the portal is now open for both male and female. And all successful applicants will undergo a combined academic and physical training leading to employment of the successful ones into the Police Force as specialist (artisan) & police constables.
The Nigeria Police Force is the lead security agency in Nigeria. It has its origin in Lagos following the creation of a 30 man consular guard in 1861. The duties of the police are to prevent and detect crime, preserve the law and order, protect lives and properties, apprehend offenders, and more.

Requirements For Nigeria Police Recruitment.
- Applicant must be free from any pecuniary embarrassment.
- Female applicants must not pregnant while applying.
- Male applicants chest measurement should not be less than 86cm (34 inches).
- You must be medically, physically and psychological fit.
- Males must not be less than 1.67mtrs tall. And females must be less than 1.64mtrs tall.
- You must be a Nigerian by birth and must have an NIN.
Nigeria Police Force Positions & Their Requirements.
General Duty Constable.
- Applicants must be between 18 to 25 years.
- Applicants must have a minimum of 5 credits in not more than 2 sittings in WASSCE/ GCE/ NECO with credit passes in English and Mathematics not later than 2014.
Specialist (Artisan) Constable.
- Applicants must be between 18 to 28 years.
- Applicants must possess a minimum of 4 credits in not more than 2 sittings in WASSCE/ NECO/ GCE with credits passes in English and Mathematics not later than 2015.
- Medical/ veterinary assistant must have a minimum of 5 credits in not more than 2 sittings in WASSCE/ SSCE with passes in English and Mathematics.
