The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is embarking on its foreign post graduate scholarship programme to grow the human resource development in the Niger Delta regions, and also provide the young people with good training and skills for effective participation in the local content programme of the Federal Government. And also enable them to acquire specialization in their chosen field of study.
Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is a government agency that was established by the Nigerian government in year 2000, and the mandate is to develop the oil-rich Niger Delta region of Nigeria. NDDC is working to offer a lasting solution to the socio-economic difficulties of the Niger Delta region and also facilitate rapid development of the Niger Delta.

Professional Disciplines Accepted In NDDC Post Graduate Scholarship Scheme.
The scheme is for qualified candidates, with Bachelor’s Degree from recognized universities in the following professional disciplines:
- Law.
- Biomedical Engineering.
- Software Engineering.
- Marine Engineering.
- Robotic Engineering.
- Mechanical Engineering.
- Information Technology.
- Artificial Intelligence.
- Math/ Science.
- Medical Science.
- Hospitality Management.
- Architechture.
- Environmental Science.
- Electrical/ Electronic Engineering.
NDDC Post Graduate Scholarship Scheme Selection Process.
- Candidates will be shortlisted based on the following criteria:
- WASSCE/ NECO results.
- Undergraduate degree classification (First class, second clas upper/ lower).
- Local government identification.
- Shortlisted candidates will undergo a computer- based test conducted by NDDC consultant in Rivers State.
- Candidates must score a minimum of 70% in the test to move to the next stage.
- And the candidates that successfully pass the test will be shortlisted.
- Then the final verification of the candidates will be done through the Local Government Area and Community Development Committee.
NDDC Post Graduate Scholarship Amount.
The amount for the NDDC foreign post graduate scholarship will be based on the current exchange rate of the Naira.
Required Documents For NDDC Post Graduate Scholarship Scheme.
The following documents are required for this application.
- NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
- Relevant degrees from recognized universities.
- Post graduate admission letter from a recognized oversea university.
- Recent passport.
- Local government identification letter.
NDDC Post Graduate Scholarship Scheme Closing Date.
The deadline for the NDDC post graduate scholarship scheme is 8 of November, 2023.
Things To Note About The NDDC Post Graduate Scholarship Application.
When you successfully register, a registration number will be automatically assigned, and you should also print a hard copy of the acknowledgement for reference.
Shortlisted candidates will be posted on the NDDC website, and the shortlisted candidates will be required to take a computer based test.
NDDC will ‘not communicate with any candidate that is not shortlisted for the computer based test. Preferences will not be given to any candidate from oil producing host/ communities/ Local Government Area as long as candidates meed the cut off mark.
NDDC will ensure a fair spread of courses amongst beneficiaries within each state.
