You can’t sneak a strange word by me and expect the conversation to continue as if nothing happened – I Must Google it. I don’t read as much as i am supposed to, so the best way to add new words to my vocabulary is to learn from my conversations with intellectuals like Alee, Angie and some other individuals.
Alee described her church service today as “Splufik” while i paused the conversation to google the word, she confessed that it wasn’t in the dictionary – just another Naija Slang she picked up. I checked it anyways.
The Meaning of Splufik
Apparently in Nigerian slang, Splufik (an adjective) is synonymous to fantastic, used when describing something or a feeling that is extraordinarily good or attractive.
