Playing very loud music on your laptop inbuilt defualt speakers can damage it, especially when sound boosting media players such as VLC that allows upto 200% volume level is used.
I learned this lesson the hard way when my old Dell Inspiron N5040 Laptop speakers got shattered by loud music last year.
Solution would be to buy new speakers to change out the bad ones, continue using earphones or buy external multimedia speakers.
If you have a desktop PC that doesn’t come with inbuilt speakers, you may also consider buying a Multimedia speaker to play sound from your desktop if you don’t want to always use headphones.
As it is with most eletronic equipment, your budget will determine the quality of sound you get from your choice multimedia speakers because there are so many brands in the market with prices as low as $5 for simple speakers with poor quality sounds and as high as $300 + for high definition speakers which usually include a Subwoofer.

I decided to settle for the Lenovo L1525 Speakers because it promises crisp clear sound that meets domestic, gaming or entertainment needs for home / office use.
It doesn’t occupy much space or my desk because a subwoofer is not included but still has that bass sound.
